Tuskegee Next - where are they now?

Private Pilot Andre Sanders graduated from the Tuskegee NEXT program in 2016. He is wrapping up his Junior year at Southern Illinois University (SIU) majoring in Aviation Management with a minor in Aviation Flight. Private Pilot Andre Sanders, has flown over 100 hours and is working towards his Instrument Rating and Commercial Certificate. Sanders is working to accomplish these goals by the summer of 2018. Sanders is also highly active in the Air Force Reserve. He was just awarded the Victor Davis Scholarship from Southern Illinois University. He recently had the honor of meeting Tuskegee Airmen Lt. Tuskegee NEXT is extremely proud of Private Pilot Andre Sanders and can't wait to see what the future holds for him.

Purpose By Design: July 20th - 23rd 2017 Theme 'Follow Your Yellow Brick Road'.

preparation for pbd 2017:

Our 2017 theme will be 'Follow Your Yellow Brick Road'.

Twenty committed women met on May 27th full of passion and ideas to prepare for 2017 Purpose By Design.

We are celebrating seven years and this would not have been possible if not for our volunteers. THANK YOU!

Also, welcome to the new ladies who will travel to Tennessee this summer! Thank you to the seven year faithfuls! Thank you to all who donate their resources!

We will continue to focus on goal setting and discovering ways to reach our goals, as well as challenges that may come our way on the road to pursuing all that God intended for us to be.

As apart of our banking segment we have opened a Purpose by Design Store. It was very successful last year and we will continue to teach money competency in practical ways. The girls are given PBD money, checkbooks. There are bank hours and store hours. Practical lessons are learned during this time-earning, saving, balancing checkbooks, etc.

We are looking for quality items to place in the store-jewelry, t-shirts, purses, creative items, art supplies, etc. Thank you to those who committed to donating already and if you would like to donate items or gift cards for us to purchase items please e-mail Tanya Davis at tanya@wmdavisfoundation.org.
